House and garden

This entire project was project managed by myself. It involved extensive interior and exterior re-modelling, including an extension to the rear and a new porch to the front of the building.

Interior works included:-

Two new en-suites.
A new kitchen and utility room.
Several walls were re-positioned.
Upstairs ceilings Insulated, re-boarded and plastered.
All new oak doors.

Exterior works included:-

Garden room extension with roof lantern.
New porch to the front.
Several new windows.
Porcelain patio slabs.
Raised beds to the garden area.

Sub contractors were employed to carry out specialist works eg.

Plumbing & heating.
Windows.
Plasterers.
Steel works.
Roofing/lantern.

I have worked with these sub contractors for several years.
All the groundwork, block walls, roof structure, carpentry and exterior landscaping were carried out by myself.

Barn conversions

This barn conversion was built to accommodate one bedroom on a mezzanine floor with a living area, kitchen and shower room on the ground floor.

The existing structure was dismantled leaving just part of the external walls.

The barn was rebuilt including all the groundwork and drainage, block walls, roof structures, Insulation and interior carpentry including timber windows were carried out by myself.

All works built in accordance with current Building Regulations.

Historic building restoration

This prominent listed corner shop in Kingskerswell had become dilapidated and in serious need of restoration.

This project was taken on under the watchful eyes of Historic England and required us to dismantle much of the shopfronts, all the mouldings detail, the sills and the fascias were replaced with new .

Glazing also had to meet the requirements of Building Regulations which meant the majority of the glazing used toughened glass. The curved glass was also custom made to suite the curved window. The inside was plasterboarded and skimmed. Finally several coats of paint were applied to the outside of the building.

Patio's

This outside space was designed by my customer and laid by myself

A mini digger was used to excavate the patio space. Low walls were built to contain the patio and rendered with limestone capping

The slabs chosen for this patio was natural limestone laid in a random fashion.
